Actor Christopher Reeve has died at the age of 52 from a massive heart attack,he slipped in to a coma and never regained consciousness, his wfie and family were at his bedside.
R.I.P. Christopher! I was not old enough to see you as Superman, but I did see you for the man you were who was super without playing any roles.
Yup he was a good man. He faught for disability rights for those with spinal cord injuries. It's a shame, we lost a good man and a good advocate.
My favorite movie of his is "Somewhere in Time" for those of you who are too young to remember, go rent it. He will be missed. Prayers of peace go out to his family.
man that's sure a shock! :( R.I.P. poor guy! :(
i dont know its better than dragging on for years and dying day by day,he wouldnt know very much about it.
Christopher Reeve was one of the 1st to advocate stem cell research in britain, its thanks to him that some in the medical profession can now consider using this treatment.
I think he was lucky to live almost ten years after his accident. If he hadn't been a celebrity and had the financial resources he had, he wouldn't have been able to afford the excellent around-the-clock cared he had and probably wouldn't have lived for nearly as many years as he did. I hope the research he started is continued.
...it has been just within the last couple of weeks here in AMERICA during all the various POLITICAL DEBATES/ PRESIDENTIAL when PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL KERRY (Democrate ticket-Party) once again acknowledged Mr. Reeves and STEM CELL RESEARCH, the need of the work to go on. Also Nancy REAGON (Her Husband/Hubby, the Past Amer. Republican PRESIDENT USA ticket-Party) and her one Son continues to speak forth on STEM CELL RESEARCH, the need for. ***** ALSO on Barbara Walters T.V. talk-informative show-Program there was the Past INTERVIERWS of Mr.REEVES and his Wife-- As a couple they had/have Three (3) Children. and various others as well as Rehab. care ...like Nerves- reAwakening in Water Pool THERAPY. ***** Then too the Performers on T.V. giving Their RESPECT, like Elton John, and others.
